The kit can rekey up to 12 Kwikset 5-pin cylinder locks, including entry locks, deadbolts, handlesets, and lever-style locks.
The kit includes 4 precut keys that are numbered to correspond with the supplied pins, along with the tools needed to complete the rekeying process. Included tools are a follower, removal tool, and deadbolt screw cap remover. The old key is not required to rekey the locks, although having the old key is preferred for easier rekeying.
The included deadbolt cap remover has 12 pins and works for most deadbolts, but some deadbolts may require a 14-pin remover. Rekey instructions are available upon request, making this kit a practical option for rental properties, business locations, property turnovers, and home lock updates.
