Description
This is a Kwikset compatible replacement Drive-In-Latch for Entry Knobs or Levers.
Drive in latches are designed for doors which do not have a mortised latch plate. They press into the side bore and are held in place via friction. The diameter of the latch collar is 1″ and will fit snug inside of the hole.
- Adjustable backset 2-3/8″ to 2-3/4″
- Tamper resistant deadlatch
- Mortised plate measures 1″ wide and 2.25″ tall with 1.5″ spacing between mounting holes
- Round corner latch
This latch is designed to be used with Kwikset hardware that use a half round shaped spindle. You will need to check the design of your handle to ensure this replacement will work.
There are two types of spindles that Kwikset handles use. Either a square spindle or a half round. This replacement latch will not work with a square shafted spindle. Below is the compatible spindle type.
